Squires’ Rock ‘n’ Bike Show on Saturday 20th August proved to be a huge success, thanks to the amazing organisation by Satans Slaves and the perfect weather. The day kicked off in the morning with the first of eight live bands performing on an outdoor stage until midnight (a big thanks to Ian Ball Transport who donated the stage for the weekend) and a bike competition with eight categories of superb contenders.

The Air Ambulance team collected a total of £1,368.00 in donations. Pam Lawrence, Team Leader and Yorkshire Air Ambulance Secretary said, "This is fantastic and is a credit to the biking fraternity who have always supported this life saving service. Myself a biker and member of Ruf Diamonds Mcc, Pontefract, became involved in the Air Ambulance through my biking interests and I have since become a volunteer and now Volunteer Team Leader. This amount donated in just one day is truly wonderful. The new helicopter is just 6 weeks old and has immediately improved the service to the people of Yorkshire. Demand is such that a second is planned asap, enhancing just how important fund raising is and must continue. "For more information on their lifesaving service, go to www.yorkshireairambulance.org.uk

Manufacturing the toughest motorcycle wear in the world, the Carreras spent all day at the show, with a stand of racetrack-quality leathers, Nascar leisurewear and limited editions for ladies, gents and children. Carrera leathers are also stocked at Speedstyle UK at Squires.
